Highlights of current projects TEPROW is involved in:

• Ed is chairing the new CSA Standard for Z663 Land Use Planning in the Vicinity of Pipelines currently in development. The proposed release date is later in 2018, but the draft document will be available for Public and Industry Review in January.

• Ed will be speaking at the Canadian Common Ground Alliance (CCGA) Damage Prevention Symposium in Ottawa on Sept. 20, 2017 (http://canadiancga.com/Annual-Symposium). The topic will be the new CSA Standard. Ed has previously spoken on two occasions at the previous CCGA events in Banff on other topics. The Economic Developers Alberta conference this past spring was also an event that Ed presented at.

• Ed / TEPROW has partnered with T2 Utility Engineers Inc. out of Whitby, ON, on a project with Alberta Transportation. The partnership is working on a Utility Partnering Services contract with Alberta Transportation and the companies and associations that have been meeting with the Province for the past 2 years. In addition to various telecommunication, utility, pipeline, and

power companies working with the Province and the T2 team on this initiative, the Consulting Engineers of Alberta, the Alberta Common Ground Alliance, Alberta One-Call, and the Alberta Roadbuilders and Heavy Construction Association are also participating. Ed is the Utility Coordinator on this project and is working on the draft crossing and proximity agreements, documentation, and training plans. Terry Plant is also working on this contract as the logistics administrator.

• The Federation of Canadian Municipalities (FCM) based in Ottawa have hired Ed as their Facilitator for the Technical Committee on Telecommunications and Rights-of-Way for the ongoing national discussions with the members from the municipalities from coast to coast to coast. There have been a number of CRTC decisions and ongoing court cases that the municipalities are concerned about. FCM brings a national perspective to these issues.

• Ed is currently working on a couple of other small projects with local Edmonton companies.
